A2: Young Adults in Biblical Community

STARTING THIS MONTH...now every Friday
A2 is a Biblical community for young adults (ages 18-30) that meets in homes around the Portland area on Friday nights from 7-8:30 pm. You are invited to join our community as we hang out and have a brief small-group conversation. This is a laid back atmosphere where you can meet friends (old and new) and discuss spiritual topics freely. On the "First Friday" of every month, we gather at the church for an evening of worship and teaching followed by one big meal together. Includes: Chocolate Fountain, Movie, Games, Prizes, & lots of FUN! The church shuttles will leave Portland Christian Center at 5:15 p.m. and will return at 9:45 p.m. for parent pick-up. This is a FREE event. For those coming, make sure to bring (1) signed Release Form, and (2) food for chocolate dipping (fruits, gummy candy, marshmallows, etc.).

Ladies Bible Study 2012

8 Week Study - January 10 - February 28

STUDY: "James: Mercy Triumphs" - by Beth Moore
James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Topics in this study include joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. Student Music Ministries - January Launch

Our Student Music Ministries begin a brand new season next Wednesday (Jan. 11th) at 6:00 p.m.. Priority is open to all High School & College students. Witness is open to all Middle School students. Rehearsals are every Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m.. Plans are underway for two incredible summer tours. Women: Scraps of Life

Friday - Saturday, January 20 (3:00 p.m.) to January 21 (1:00 p.m.)
Women, gather your stuff and come scrap with us! Bring a friend, something for dinner, breakfast and a snack. Why? Because we are going to be up all night! Those of you who would like to catch a few minutes of sleep, feel free to bring a pillow and sleeping bag as well. If you are a beginner, just bring some pictures and we will get you started.

Water Baptism

Sunday, January 29 during the 10:45 a.m. Sunday Service
Water Baptism is a visible sign to your internal commitment to Jesus. Whether you have been a Christian for years or have just recently committed your life to Christ, we would encourage you to take this next step by being baptized in water. Anyone wanting to be baptized in water can now register online or pick up a registration form at the Information Desk on Sunday mornings. Paper forms should be submitted to the church office by Friday, January 27th. Applicants will be contacted about an informational meeting that will be held prior to the Baptism Service.

"H.O.S.T." A Small Group

January 29 at 12:30 p.m. in The Chapel

Grow more connected by H.O.S.T.ing a small group. If you have a HEART for people, can OPEN your home for two hours, SERVE a snack, and OPERATE a TV/DVD player, you can H.O.S.T. a small group. All types of groups welcome: General, Men, Women, Singles, Interest/Hobbies. Sign-up for this informational meeting at the Congregational Life table in the church lobby on Sunday morning. Lunch will be provided.

Open Enrollment!

Hilltop open enrollment begins on February 1st for new families. We serve children ages 3 through Kindergarten with great student/teacher ratios that create excellent learning environments.
