Membership Renewal
Portland Christian Center’s bylaws require annual membership renewal. Online membership renewal for 2012 is now closed but you can still renew in person this Sunday morning in the church lobby at the information center.
Becoming a Member
Your membership means more than simply signing a piece of paper. Becoming a member of Portland Christian Center expresses your commitment to this “spiritual family,” a family that worships together, grows in faith together, and serves one another. We are committed to connecting with you and desire to help you solidify your faith and find your place at Portland Christian Center.
By choosing to become a member, you are making a choice to personally belong to our church family, and as a member you will have a personal voice and voting privileges. Voting privileges include the annual selection of board members and board officers, and other major decisions.
The following steps will guide you through the membership process.
Step One:
Complete an Application one of three ways:

Step Two:
Attend the scheduled Connect Class 101 led by Pastor Ray Noah. In our Connect 101 Class, we provide a review of our history, an overview of our ministry values and Statement of Faith, and present opportunities for connecting to ministries and areas of service. You will gain an understanding of what membership is about, hear Pastor Ray’s vision for the church, and have an opportunity to ask questions. Please review Portland Christian Center’s Constitution & Bylaws [pdf] prior to the class. This will serve as a good preparation for the class. The membership classes are offered every quarter and are open to anyone who is a follower of Christ and is at least 18 years old.

Step Three:
Towards the end of the Membership Class and after the Q & A session, you will meet with one of our pastoral staff or a deacon. During this meeting, you will have an opportunity to share your personal story. The pastor or deacon will walk you through the final steps of membership which will include the signing of the membership covenant. Attending the membership class does not obligate you to become a member.
Step Four:
We want to introduce you to the church family. Therefore, the new members will be presented to the congregation during a Sunday morning Worship Service and receive a certificate acknowledging their membership.
