Jon Haarstad
TITLE: Music/Media Associate
RESPONSIBILITIES: Web Development, Music, Youth Music & Media
Jon has enjoyed living in Portland since 2004. He graduated from Northwest University in 1997 with a degree in Business Management and has spent years prior to coming to PCC working in IT while volunteering to lead worship.
Jon has a heart and passion for music and the expression of worship in music. He started playing piano at a young age and picked up the guitar in college. He enjoyed a few years playing in a Seattle-area band during and after his college years. He has written and recorded his own worship songs.
Here at PCC, Jon has the opportunity to invest his time working in two fields that he is passionate about - music/worship and media/web development.
Jon loves the outdoors and during the winter season can be found riding the nearby slopes on a snowboard. He also loves to travel and is always looking forward to the next missions trip.
