Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence

April marks the 10 year anniversary of Pastor Ray and Linda's ministry as Lead Pastors of Portland Christian Center. On Sunday, April 22 deacons Jason Mitchell and Doug MacLardy thanked Pastor Ray and Linda Noah for their 10 years of faithful leadership and reflected on their journey at PCC:

    • On April 14, 2008, Pastor Ray officially became the Lead Pastor of Portland Christian Center. But his journey with PCC started much earlier.
    • In 1996 Pastor Ray Noah joined the staff at PCC serving with Pastor Bill Wilson as his Senior Associate Pastor.
    • Pastor Ray along with Linda served, led and invested in the lives of the people of PCC for the next 5 years.
    • In 2001 Ray took a Lead Pastor position in California, and they had to say goodbye to their PCC church family.
    • In the fall of 2007, Lead Pastor Bill Wilson was asked to become the Network Lead Pastor for the Oregon Network of Assemblies Churches, and he accepted. This meant that the Deacon Board had to begin the search for a new Lead Pastor of Portland Christian Center.
    • It took several months for the Deacon Board to help Pastor Ray and Linda realize that returning to their roots was what they needed to do. In their own time, they came to the right decision and now the rest is history!

As we look all the way back to 1996 when the Noah's first began their journey at PCC, we can see that God had already gone before us. We just needed to follow His leading.

On behalf of the Deacon Board and the Membership of Portland Christian Center, we want to express our sincerest appreciation for Pastor Ray and Linda's excellent leadership. May God richly bless them for their unwavering faithfulness to this church.
