Matt and Sarah BlankenshipMatt and Sarah Blankenship

    Executive Pastor

Matt and Sarah received their calls into ministry while serving at their home churches—Calvary Temple Concord (Matt) & The House Modesto (Sarah)—in their young adult years. Shortly after, they met, were married and began full-time ministry together at James River Church in Springfield Missouri where they served in youth ministry for five years.

In 2007, God called them to youth pastor at Bethel Church in San Jose, CA. At Bethel, they began their family and today are the proud parents of Hunter (10) and Hayden (6). The Blankenships are active and love new adventures.

At Bethel, Matt has served in several positions at the church as needed. These range from Youth Pastor, to Facilities Manager, Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor, Worship Pastor, and currently the Life Groups and Santa Clara Campus Pastor. Sarah has served as the Communications Director, Multimedia Director and started the Bethel Brew coffee house.

The Blankenship Family will start their ministry at Portland Christian Center on July 1, 2018.

    Chip LoopChip and Deb Loop

    Worship Arts Pastor

Shortly after meeting and marrying at Portland Christian Center in 1993, Chip and Deb were called to worship ministry. Chip spent a year interning under Pastor Ron Cochran, founding Witness, the middle school choir, leading in worship and assisting in other worship ministry functions.

For the past 23 years, Pastor Chip has served four Oregon Assemblies of God churches as Worship Pastor, directing choirs, orchestras, and worship teams, producing seasonal outreach events and leading congregations into the presence of God.

Chip and Deb have three beautiful children. Their oldest daughter, Amanda, is 21 and married to Zane West. They are both actively involved in their church as worship leaders. Chip and Deb’s son, Jared, is 15. He enjoys playing football and plays trombone in his high school band. Their youngest daughter, Macy, is 13 and sings in her school choir and enjoys photography.

The Loop Family will start their ministry at Portland Christian Center on July 15, 2018.
