Winter Class and Group Opportunities!

    Posted Jan 10th, 2018

We want everyone at Portland Christian Center to have a place to BELONG and BECOME. This requires going beyond weekend services by involving yourself in a class or a small group. Whether you are a parent, senior, youth or child, we have a place for you to belong throughout the week!

    ADULTS

    Sunday Classes

    FaithBuilders

Beginning Sunday, February 25 at 9:00 AM, Room 229

Following The Messiah: See the gospel through a different lens as two men explore the places where Jesus lived during His life on earth in Appian Media’s Following The Messiah. Get up close to the ruins of the ancient city of Capernaum, take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, and walk through the arid wilderness of Judea. This is an incredible journey through the Bible lands, both old and new.

    LifeSkills

Beginning Sunday, January 7 at 9:00 AM, Gymnasium

Ever been caught by a storm? When it happens, we scramble for shelter. We look for something to shield us from the storm. This world offers a variety of shelters, and while they seem substantial, they’re little more than temporary and unreliable. God is the only One who can truly shelter us in the midst of life’s adversities. This study based in the Psalms will show you that when you place yourself in God’s loving embrace, you can experience true shelter in the midst of any downpour. But God doesn’t just offer a place of shelter during your storms. He is your shelter!

    Young Families

Beginning Sunday, January 7 at 9:00 AM, Room 217-219

Avoiding Pride, Exclusivity, and the Other Dangers of Overzealous Faith. Following Jesus is not a race to see who can be the most radical, sacrificial, knowledgeable, or burn out for Jesus. It’s simply doing whatever He calls us to do, whether it’s radical and crazy or simple and mundane. Join us as we shine a light on the six most common dangers of overzealous faith and how to avoid them.

If you’re seeking to follow Jesus with everything you’ve got, or if you wonder what has happened to the Jesus who offers rest to the weary and an easier yoke to the overloaded, this series is for you.

    Japanese Fellowship Church

Sundays, 9:00 AM Bible Study & Prayer, 10:45 Sunday Celebration Service, Room 228

Join us to worship the Lord in Japanese! We welcome anyone who speaks Japanese or is interested in a Japanese worship experience. Led by Pastor Hiro Noda.
