Yesterday was very productive. We assembled enough computers to load up the first batch and head out to two of the local Latin America Child Care schools.

This is our second school to deploy and we were welcomed by their marching band. As we walked up the drive-way, the students lined up waving American flags as the band play our national anthem.

Students lining the whole schools welcoming us. In all the 6 yrs of doing this, El Salvador is by far the most friendly and hospitable country I have been in.

Setting up the lab - students jumped right in to help us.

Here, part of the team is in English class. Bob and Jeff showing where we live.

After we set up the lab, and finished with the English classes, the school planned a special band concert. This band had won National Honors. Truly this was a school of excellence. The band was amazing. As with most schools here, they are in a very violent - high crime area, and in the middle the presence of God is felt. Each day this school ministers to over 1,100 students.

Soccer balls are always a big hit. Even in a school this size - no soccer balls for PE. Later Jeff, Bob and Tom mixed it up in a soccer game.

Greetings from El Salvador
All of the team made it just fine, no real flight or customs issues.

We are currently at the Production site - getting the 60 computers assembled. Of course a few surprises but "adjusting" and being "flexible" were two words we made sure were part of our team vocabulary and we have used them several times already on this trip.

Each of the brand new computers which are being assembled by Little Davey Project volunteers from Portland Christian Center will be placed in a Latin America Child Care school, which provides education to the needy families in El Salvador and throughout Latin America.

Several new team members this year, here Karen Neal is explaining production assembly steps.

By noon time all computers and components unpacked and production in full swing with several computers assembled and ready to go.
