Country Chic Women’s Spring Event

Saturday, May 8th 12:00 - 2:00 PM

Ladies, time to cowgirl up for a country chic hoedown! Get into the swing of spring with some country steppin’, “Swap ‘Till You Drop” swap meet, and quilting expo! Savor tasty ribs prepared on a Texas pit BBQ, learn new ways of cooking ribs and challenge your friends in a chili cook off! You’ll not want to miss this good, old-fashioned fun! Admission: $10 ($2 discount for tickets purchased for guests)

Middle School Overnighter

Friday May 21, 9PM – May 22, 8AM

This is always one of our most fun middle school events! We'll meet in the youth room at 9pm before taking buses to SW community center. Students will get to enjoy fun on the courts or in the pool for a couple hours before heading back to PCC for the rest of the evening. Cost is $15 per student. When students bring friends, $10 per friend is deposited into your student's summer camp account. Have a blast with your friends and play your way to summer camp!

Active Adults Day Trip

Thursday, May 27, 8:30 AM

All seniors are invited to join us for a delightful day trip as we explore eight different covered bridges in Linn County from the comfort of our airporter shuttles. Bring money for lunch, as we’ll stop and enjoy a bite to eat along the way. Contact the Active Adults department at 503-245-7735 if you’d like to participate!!

You are invited very Wednesday from from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM in the Trailhead (lower level) for a home-cooked meal. The menu changes every week.

Olan Mills Directory Update

Our Olan Mills photo directories are currently being printed. According to Olan Mills’ best estimate, the finished directories should be arriving at the church for distribution the week of June 13th. All families who sat for portraits should receive their free photo directories on or around that date. We’ll keep you posted with updates as the date gets closer!

You can update information such as your name, address, telephone, email, family members, marital status, etc. Also, once you receive a confirmed login you will be able to access your confidential giving records 24/7. If you have not filed your taxes, this may be a great help to you!

Experience Summer!

We’re looking for friendly folks who would like to host backyard BBQs this summer and get to know other PCC attendees in their neighborhood! If you ‘d like to be a BBQ host, all we ask is that you schedule one BBQ a month in June, July and August. Once we have our list of BBQ hosts, we will make sign ups available in the lobby for people to choose a backyard BBQ group to attend in their own neighborhood.

Small Group for High School Seniors

Are you a graduating high school senior? You're invited to join us on Sunday mornings from May 2 - June 13 for a small group time to discuss life after high school - especially the transition to living on your own and entering a college environment. Even if you're not planning to go to college right away, this group is still for you! Seniors will meet in the youth center at 9am and then be dismissed to their small group. For questions or to RSVP, contact the Youth department in the church office at 503-245-7735.

Middle School Girls Night Out

Friday, May 7, 6:00-8:00 PM

All middle school girls are invited to join us for Girls' Night Out...a monthly night out for girls to get together, have fun, share a Bible study and strengthen friendships. Join us this month for pizza making and ice cream sundaes at Pastor Aaron & Noelle's house in Tigard. Don't miss your chance to give input about future nights out as well. SW Neighborhood Cleanup Day

PCC is hosting the Southwest Neighborhood Spring Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 8 from 9 AM to 1 PM. This is your chance to bring a whole list of items to recycle for free: yard debris, computers, scrap metal, furniture and more! We are also recruiting to have a team of PCC volunteers on site to assist in this effort. Jobs can be as easy as serving coffee and refreshments, directing traffic, or as involved as helping to unload vehicles. Royal Family Kids’ Camp Golf Tournament

Saturday, May 15, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Everyone is invited to join us for a charity golf tournament to benefit foster children, to be held at Eagle Landing Golf Course in Portland. We're still looking for golfers to participate in the tournament and help us raise the needed funds to send foster children to summer camp. We ask that each golfer work toward attaining sponsors who commit to donating a set dollar amount per hole golfed. Pregnancy Resource Center Baby Bottle Drive

The results are in! Thank you to all who collected money through our recent Baby Bottle Drive. Your generosity enabled us to donate nearly $1,000 to Pregnancy Resource Center to help mothers and their unborn children! Thank you!

Did you know? Christian Counseling Centers of Oregon has offices on the Portland Christian Center campus. Affiliated counselors specialize in many different areas, including anxiety, depression, marriage and /or family conflicts, domestic violence, sexual addictions, and much more. Children’s Music Night 2010

Sunday, May 16, 6:00 – 9:00 PM

Everyone’s invited to join us for this exciting annual evening of music presented by our preschool – 5th grade students! You will enjoy hearing from Tiny Tunes, our delightful preschool choir, plus performances by our elementary Young Instrumentalists. Kids Praise Company will present a fully staged and choreographed Broadway-style musical, Under God’s Sea in 3D...an engaging story about learning to see and hear from God – presented from a submarine! Afterward, join us for an all-church reception with ice cream sundaes! Invite all your friends and family to attend this once a year special event.
