Nicaragua 2010
Since 1975 PCC has been sending construction teams to build churches, schools, and homes.
Starting in Guatemala, continuing in Central America for a number of years, then to South America, and Samoa - sometimes with multiple site during a project and multiple projects in a year.
For the first time, the PCC missions construction team is in Nicaragua working with Bonnie and Levys Hernandez. The project is a single story church - 30 ft by 60 ft - with construction being cinderblock, concrete columns, and a metal roof.
A team of 23 will venture out January 9th for Managua and then travel to Leon, about 2 hours from the airport. The team consist of 5 ladies that will be responsible for the lunch and evening meals on work days and the construction team of 14 men and 4 ladies.
Levys's team has begun the construction with the footing and foundation in place, so we can begin to lay the block on Monday morning. We are hoping for a two week miracle with getting all the block laid, concrete poured and beginning to get the roof on.
