Women's Serving Projects

Days For Girls TESFA & Petros Network

Leaders: Jan Rasmussen, Lynne Northcutt, and Linda Barkus

What if not having sanitary supplies meant DAYS without school? Days of isolation? Girls use leaves, mattress stuffing, newspaper, corn husks, rocks, anything they can find...but still miss up to 2 months of education and opportunity every year. It turns out this issue is a surprising but instrumental key to social change for women all over the world.

Supply List for Women’s Craft Nights for the Days For Girls/TESFA project:
Sewing machine, serger, scissors, measuring tape/sewing ruler, rotary cutter & mat, 100% polyester thread (Gutermann brand recommended.) It would be a good idea to mark your items. We will have a few things here, but we never know exactly how many are coming each month. If you don’t have supplies, come anyway. We will find you something to do.

Expecting the Best

Leader: Kaeluree Nelson and Kalie Strickling

God is the giver of good gifts. We want to partner with Him and ensure that the "expecting moms" at Portland Christian Center are showered with His goodness in the form of prayer and meals. We'd love your help too. You can sign up to be praying for an expecting mom during her last trimester or take a meal when the baby arrives, or both. If you are the one expecting and have not been contacted by our ETB team, please send an email to .

Christmas Celebration Concerts, Lobby Decorating & More

Leader: Terri Eastburn

Each year Portland Christian Center ministers to over 15,000 attendees during our Portland Christmas Celebration. Our Women's Ministry takes the lead in decorating our foyer and main hallways for Christmas each year. We also jump into serving with our Backstage Kids, Nursery, Meals, Greeting, Ticket Distribution, and more.
